Benny Blanco: Producer Crosses Atlantic by Ship to Reunite With Selena Gomez

LOS ANGELES: Benny Blanco has revealed that he is crossing the Atlantic by ship to reunite with his wife, Selena Gomez, ahead of her 34th birthday on July 22, choosing a sea voyage instead of flying because of his long-standing fear of air travel.

The music producer shared his journey in a TikTok video posted on July 16, joking about his unconventional mode of transport.

“POV: ur traveling across the Atlantic in the Titanic to see ur wife bc ur scared of flying,” Blanco wrote in the video. He added in the caption, “The things we do for love.”

Blanco and Gomez have spent several weeks apart while Gomez films the sixth season of Only Murders in the Building in London. Despite the distance, the couple has continued to share affectionate messages on social media.

In June, Gomez posted a photo on Instagram showing Blanco kissing her chest and wrote, “Distance means so little when someone means so much,” before adding, “@itsbennyblanco mish you bb.”

Blanco replied with a heartfelt comment, writing, “I fall more and more in love with you everyday.”

Although Blanco chose to travel by sea for this trip, he has recently made progress in overcoming his fear of flying. Earlier this year, he revealed that he boarded his first flight in more than eight years, describing the experience as a major personal achievement.

The producer also recalled another transatlantic journey when he travelled to Europe by ship with Ed Sheeran while collaborating on Sheeran’s Divide album.

Blanco and Gomez began dating in 2023, announced their engagement in 2024, and married in September 2025. The couple has frequently shared moments from their relationship with fans through interviews and social media.
