Pakistan Turkiye Trade TDAP and Turkish Consulate Discuss Stronger Economic Cooperation

TDAP officials meet the Turkish Consul General to discuss expanding Pakistan-Türkiye trade cooperation.

Pakistan Turkiye trade took centre stage during a meeting between the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) and the Consulate General of the Republic of Türkiye in Karachi at the TDAP Head Office in Karachi.

First, Ergul Kadak, Consul General of Türkiye, and Commercial Attaché Murat Özmen met Sheryar Taj, Secretary TDAP, on 2 July 2026.

During the meeting, Consul General Ergul Kadak highlighted the longstanding brotherly relations between Pakistan and Türkiye. He also noted the growing cooperation in trade, education and tourism.

Meanwhile, both sides discussed opportunities to expand bilateral trade. They identified agriculture, tourism and minerals as key sectors with strong growth potential.

In addition, Sheryar Taj appreciated the active participation of Turkish business delegations in TDAP’s flagship events. He invited the Turkish Mission to participate in FoodAg 2026, which will take place in Karachi from 23 to 26 November 2026. He also encouraged Turkish companies to attend the exhibition as business delegates.

Furthermore, both sides welcomed the improving regional environment. They said better regional connectivity could strengthen economic integration, improve market access and increase trade opportunities.

Finally, the meeting concluded with a shared commitment to deepen business cooperation. Both sides agreed to work closely on developing business linkages and promoting long-term partnerships between Pakistan and Türkiye.
