Islamabad, June 19, 2026 – SAP, a global leader in enterprise applications and Business AI, has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Pakistan’s digital transformation and economic growth during a visit by Augusta Spinelli, Regional President, SAP Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

A key highlight of the visit was a meeting between Augusta Spinelli and the Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication, Shaza Fatima Khawaja. Discussions focused on Pakistan’s digital economy and the role of emerging technologies in supporting innovation-led growth, enhancing competitiveness and preparing the workforce for an AI-powered future.

Appreciating SAP’s contribution to technology adoption in Pakistan, Shaza Fatima Khawaja, Federal Minister for IT and Telecommunication, stated, “Pakistan’s digital economy is underpinned by a young technology-savvy population, progressive policy frameworks and increasing adoption of emerging technologies. We are looking at organizations to harness the power of data, cloud and AI to drive innovation, efficiency and economic opportunity. We appreciate the key contributions made by SAP to build a more connected, competitive and future-ready Digital Nation Pakistan.”

These conversations highlighted the growing importance of AI, digital skills and cloud technologies in helping organizations drive innovation, improve competitiveness and accelerate growth, while underscoring SAP’s continued commitment to investing in local talent.

Pakistan continues to emerge as one of the region’s most dynamic digital markets, supported by a young and entrepreneurial population, expanding digital infrastructure and increasing technology adoption across both the public and private sectors. As organizations seek new ways to improve productivity, resilience and growth, AI is poised to play a central role in the country’s next phase of digital transformation.

As organizations accelerate their adoption of AI, SAP highlighted the importance of establishing strong digital foundations built on trusted data, integrated business processes and cloud technologies.

“Across EMEA, organizations are turning to Business AI, cloud and trusted data to unlock new levels of innovation and performance,” said Augusta Spinelli, Regional President, SAP EMEA. “Pakistan stands out as a vibrant and fast-growing market, with a dynamic ecosystem and strong talent base. As organizations accelerate transformation, strong digital foundations built on trusted data, integrated processes and cloud technologies will be essential to realizing the full value of AI. We look forward to deepening our partnerships with customers, partners and policymakers across Pakistan, and supporting the country’s continued digital growth.”

While AI is creating new opportunities across industries, organizations are increasingly focused on translating technological innovation into measurable business outcomes. SAP believes that combining Business AI with enterprise-wide data and applications can help organizations improve productivity, strengthen resilience and accelerate growth.

“As organizations across Pakistan accelerate their digital transformation initiatives, we see tremendous opportunities to combine Business AI with trusted business data and enterprise applications to deliver meaningful outcomes,” said Ahmed Al-Faifi, Managing Director and Senior Vice President of SAP Middle East and Africa – North. “The organizations that succeed in the AI economy will be those that can transform data into actionable insights, automate routine processes and empower their people to focus on higher-value work. SAP remains committed to helping customers realize these opportunities and drive long-term competitiveness.”

SAP also sees significant opportunities to support Pakistan’s growing small and medium-sized business sector through solutions such as GROW with SAP, enabling organizations to adopt cloud ERP, standardize processes and benefit from the latest innovations in AI, analytics and automation.

“Pakistan’s digital transformation momentum is evident across industries, from the public sector and financial services to telecommunications, manufacturing and emerging enterprises,” said Saqib Sabah, the newly appointed Head of MEA North Growth Cluster and Managing Director of Pakistan, SAP. “Organizations are increasingly looking beyond digitization toward intelligent, data-driven operations that can deliver greater efficiency, agility and innovation. We are proud to support customers across Pakistan as they embrace the next generation of business transformation powered by cloud and AI.”

Through its ecosystem of customers, partners and academic collaborations, SAP continues to support organizations across Pakistan in modernizing operations, developing digital skills and leveraging innovation to create lasting economic and societal impact.
