He extended best wishes to Lance Domm for his new diplomatic assignment in Australia and expressed confidence that the outgoing envoy would continue to succeed in his future role. “Diplomats serving in Karachi experience a level of warmth and hospitality that is difficult to find anywhere else in the world,” the governor said, adding that such connections strengthen people-to-people ties between nations.

Speaking on the occasion, Lance Domm highlighted the close relationship between Pakistan and the United Kingdom, saying bilateral trade between the two countries had reached nearly £80 billion and could expand further through stronger economic cooperation.

He also pointed to the role of cricket and educational exchanges in bringing the two countries closer, noting that thousands of Pakistani students are studying and working in Britain. “The two countries enjoy excellent relations across multiple sectors,” Domm said, while emphasizing the importance of continued engagement between the people of both nations. At the conclusion of the ceremony, the outgoing deputy high commissioner thanked the staff of the British Deputy High Commission for their support and cooperation during his tenure in Karachi.
