KARACHI: Muhammad Rafiq Memon, Chairman Sindh of the Pakistan SADC Chamber Trade Federation, has said that the upcoming Pakistan-Africa Trade and Investment Conference 2026 will create significant opportunities for investors, exporters, and business leaders to strengthen economic cooperation between Pakistan and African countries.

Speaking at a press conference at the Karachi Press Club on Monday, Muhammad Rafiq Memon said the one-day conference, scheduled to be held on May 13, 2026, would serve as a major platform for promoting bilateral trade, investment, and business networking.
The press conference was also attended by Syed Moezuddin, Senior Vice President of the federation, Shoaib Qadri, Sindh President, and Noor Afshan Baloch, Balochistan President.
Rafiq Memon stated that the conference aims to connect Pakistani exporters, industrialists, entrepreneurs, and investors with representatives and business communities from 16 Southern African Development Community (SADC) nations.
He said the event would provide an important opportunity for participants to exchange ideas, explore joint ventures, strengthen commercial partnerships, and identify new trade avenues between Pakistan and African markets.
According to him, the conference is open to importers, exporters, policymakers, investors, and entrepreneurs interested in expanding their business footprint in African countries.
The federation leadership emphasized that Africa offers vast untapped opportunities for Pakistani businesses in sectors including agriculture, textiles, food products, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, technology, and infrastructure development.
Officials also highlighted the growing importance of economic diplomacy and regional trade partnerships in boosting Pakistan’s exports and attracting foreign investment.
The organizers expressed optimism that the conference would help strengthen long-term economic ties between Pakistan and African nations while encouraging greater private-sector collaboration and investment initiatives.
