KARACHI: Chairman of the Pakistan Vanaspati Manufacturers Association (PVMA), Sheikh Umer Rehan, has paid tribute to Pakistan’s armed forces and the nation on the completion of one year of the “Battle for Truth – Bunyan-un-Marsoos,” describing it as a historic achievement that strengthened the country’s security, dignity, and international standing.
In a statement issued on the occasion, Sheikh Umer Rehan said Pakistan’s success was achieved through national unity, the sacrifices of the armed forces, and what he described as exceptional professionalism and courage displayed during the conflict.
He stated that the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir played a significant role in strengthening national defense and projecting Pakistan as a strong and secure country on the global stage.
According to the PVMA chairman, Pakistan’s armed forces effectively countered hostile actions and demonstrated the country’s defensive capabilities, while the sacrifices of martyrs earned the nation respect and stability.
Sheikh Umer Rehan emphasized that after what he termed victory in the “Battle for Truth,” Pakistan must now collectively focus on winning the “Battle for Economy” by promoting economic stability, industrial growth, and national development.
He said unity among the government, armed forces, industrialists, traders, and the public would be essential for transforming Pakistan into a stronger and more prosperous economy. He also highlighted the importance of cooperation between the business community and national institutions to achieve long-term economic progress.
The PVMA chairman further stated that nationwide celebrations marking the anniversary reflected strong public respect and support for Pakistan’s armed forces and their sacrifices.
He concluded by reaffirming that Pakistan’s industrialists, traders, and business community would continue supporting efforts aimed at economic growth, stability, and national development while standing alongside the armed forces for the country’s progress and security.
