The collaboration aims to strengthen parliamentary systems through capacity-building initiatives, research, and technical support. A key focus will be on promoting gender-responsive legislation and increasing women’s participation in political processes.
Officials noted that the partnership will also address critical challenges such as Violence Against Women in Politics (VAWIP), which continues to hinder women’s active engagement in public and political spheres.
In addition, the initiative will encourage the use of data-driven approaches, digital tools, and innovation to foster more transparent, inclusive, and accountable governance systems.
By reinforcing institutional capacity and supporting policy reforms, the collaboration seeks to ensure that women’s voices are effectively represented in decision-making processes at all levels.
The initiative reflects a broader commitment to building equitable governance structures and empowering women to play a more active role in shaping Pakistan’s political and legislative landscape.
