Karachi, April 20, 2026 — Governor Sindh, H.E. Mr. Hashmi, met with Chairman Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) Sindh, Mr. Rehan Hashmi, at the Governor House Karachi, where ongoing humanitarian initiatives and the province’s emergency preparedness situation were discussed.

During the meeting, Mr. Rehan Hashmi briefed the Governor on the organization’s current projects, operational activities, and capacity-building programmes aimed at strengthening community resilience. He also highlighted various training courses being conducted to improve disaster preparedness and enhance response mechanisms at the grassroots level.
The Governor Sindh appreciated the efforts of PRCS Sindh, acknowledging the consistent dedication of its volunteers who actively participate in emergency situations including heavy rains, heatwaves, relief operations, and disaster response activities across the province.
He emphasized the importance of humanitarian organizations in supporting government efforts during crises and praised PRCS for its continuous service to vulnerable communities.


Both sides agreed on the need to further strengthen collaboration between government institutions and humanitarian organizations to enhance response capacity and ensure timely assistance during emergencies.
The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to improving disaster management systems and promoting a culture of preparedness and resilience across Sindh.
