Karachi: Industrialists from SITE area recently gathered to pay tribute to Lt. Col. Shahzada Gulfraz Shaheed, who, along with his colleague, sacrificed his life while fighting the Indian proxy group, Khwarij, in Bannu District. The industrial community expressed their firm belief that the sacrifices of our martyrs will never go in vain and that our enemies will face defeat on every front. The business community, along with the entire nation, stands proud of the Pakistan Armed Forces.
Lt. Col. Shahzada Gulfraz was a brave commanding officer renowned for his daring actions, who was leading his unit from the frontline. He was former Wing Commander of 92-Wing Rangers, located next to SAI office.
The condolence reference meeting held at the SITE Association of Industry was attended by Wing Commander 63-Wing Rangers, Lt. Col. Haroon Sarfraz, SITE Association Patron-in-Chief Zubair Motiwala, Patron Saleem Parekh, President Abdul Rehman Fudda, former President Ahmed Azeem Alvi, Muhammad Kamran Arbi, Anwar Aziz, Abdul Hadi, Muhammad Riaz Dhedhi, Abdul Rasheed, Saleem Nagaria, Muhammad Hanif Tawakkal, and the Executive Committee members.
In his address, Patron-in-Chief Zubair Motiwala proposed the establishment of a special fund for the families of the martyrs of the Pakistan Armed Forces. He appealed to business community, urging them to take responsibility for supporting the families of those who lay down their lives in the line of duty. He paid tribute to the Armed Forces for safeguarding Pakistan’s geographical boundaries, emphasizing that the entire nation should be grateful for their sacrifices, as countries without a strong military no longer exist.
Earlier, SITE Association President Abdul Rehman Fudda highlighted the exceptional services of Lt. Col. Shahzada Gulfraz Shaheed as Wing Commander of 92-Wing Rangers in the SITE area. He further stated that the defense of Pakistan is being fought on multiple fronts, including the economic front, where industrialists play the role of soldiers, contributing to the nation’s economic strength.
Wing Commander 63-Wing Rangers, Lt. Col. Haroon Sarfraz, acknowledged the respect and support shown by the business community for the Armed Forces. He shared that Lt. Col. Shahzada Gulfraz Shaheed had been posted to a challenging position where he embraced martyrdom. Prior to his martyrdom, he was known for setting high security standards in the SITE area, which are not easy to meet but are continually being upheld.
Chairman of the Law and Order Committee, Abdul Hadi, highlighted Lt. Col. Shahzada Gulfraz Shaheed’s quick decision-making and decisive actions. He mentioned how an extortion case was resolved within 72 hours under his leadership. He prayed the Almighty Allah to upkeep the ‘Jazba-e-Shahadat’ in the armed forces of Pakistan and accept their sacrifices for the motherland.
