Was 80 million rupees wasted on the wedding?

INDIA : The truth behind the viral video of a wedding in Punjab, India, costing Rs. 80 million has been revealed. A video of a wedding in Tarn Taran district of the Indian state of Punjab went viral on social media, claiming that 80 million rupees were spent during the wedding. In the video, the groom and relatives can be seen showering the bride with gifts. Friends from abroad showered the bride with dollars, and the total amount was more than 80 million. However, the family members rejected this claim, clarifying that the actual amount spent during the wedding was only 400,000 to 500,000 rupees, including dollars. The groom’s close relatives and the DJ present there said that the amount was exaggerated and that in reality it was between 3 and 4 lakh rupees, mostly in small notes.
