RIYADH : Items autographed by celebrities sell for a high price around the world, but Trump’s signature shoes have become a hit. The world’s largest sneaker exhibition, which is being held for the first time in Jeddah, is showcasing new and rare shoes, including shoes from world-renowned brands in all sizes. In the same exhibition, Puerto Rico’s famous sneaker influencer and reseller, Jorge Andres, has a rare pair of US President Donald Trump branded gold high-top sneakers, “Friends and Family,” which he acquired in February 2024. Jorge was one of six young people who had the opportunity to meet Trump and during the same meeting, he also received a pair of shoes signed by the US President. The gold-colored ‘Never Surrender High Tops’ with an American flag detail are priced at $180,000 (over 50 million Pakistani rupees). The young man says he has received several offers to buy them since the Riyadh event. Andrew Panvelas of Ohio is also selling two pairs of Trump shoes at this exhibition, but they are unsigned and each pair costs only $1,000 (approximately 280,000 Pakistani rupees).
