Jamshoro (December 06, 2025): The 20 th Degree Show 2025 at the Shaheed Allah Buksh Soomro (SABS) University of Art Design and Heritages Jamshoro, concluded with a significant visit from the Sindh Minister for Culture and Tourism, Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah, Secretary Universities and Boards, Government of Sindh, Muhammad Abbas Baloch, Members of Sindh Assembly, Nuzhat Pathan and Hina Dastagir, Rector GIFT University Gujranwala, Punjab, Dr. Shahid Qureshi and District Emergency Officer of Sindh Integrated Emergency and Health Service, Roshan Ali Mahesar.
The Guests were warmly received by Vice-Chancellor SABS University Jamshoro, Prof. Dr. Arabella Bhutto, who briefed them on the creative displays and academic achievements showcased by the graduating students. During the visit, the guests toured the exhibition halls featuring works from the departments of Fine Art, Textile Design, Communication Design, and Architecture. They expressed their admiration for the students’ creativity, innovation, and commitment to their craft.
While speaking to the students Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah said that he was truly impressed by the talent
and dedication displayed by the students of SABS University. The work showcased reflected not
only artistic skill but also a deep understanding of our culture, society, and contemporary design
needs. Sindh has always been rich in art and heritage, and institutions like SABS play a vital role in
preserving and advancing this legacy, he added.
The Minister for Culture further said that our government is committed to supporting young artists
and providing platforms where their creativity can flourish. I assure the students and administration
of SABS University that graduating students will be provided support on behalf of ministry of
Culture to exhibit their work in Karachi and they will be connected to various embassies, art galleries
and art council of Pakistan, the Minister said.
Secretary Universities and Boards, Muhammad Abbas Baloch, while speaking at the event,
commended the efforts of SABS University in nurturing young talent. He stated, the Degree Show is
a testament to the dedication and creativity of our youth. Institutions like SABS University play a
crucial role in fostering innovation and preserving our cultural identity.
Vice Chancellor, Dr. Arabella Bhutto also emphasized the importance of entrepreneurship and strong
linkages with industry for art and design students. She stated, our goal is not only to nurture artistic
talent but to prepare our graduates for real-world challenges. Strengthening ties with industry and
promoting entrepreneurial and innovative thinking are essential for helping our students transform
their ideas into sustainable careers. The people from various industries were invited to visit the
exhibition who appreciated the creativity of students and assured graduates to collaborate with them.
Earlier the Vice-Chancellor of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Medical University Larkano, Prof. Dr.
Nusrat Shah, the representatives of Jamshoro Chamber of Commerce and textile Industry Nooriabad
paid visit during the Degree Show.
The Degree Show 2025 continued from December 01 – 07, 2025.
