Cambridge University Press & Assessment has confirmed that parts of three exam papers from the June 2025 session were leaked shortly before the scheduled tests. The confirmation comes after an internal investigation by the board’s security team, which found that while many rumors of widespread leaks were exaggerated, a limited breach had occurred.
The leak was reportedly a deliberate attempt to disrupt the integrity of the examination process. Investigators discovered that certain individuals tried to exploit students by circulating fake exam papers and demanding money. However, genuine segments from three actual papers were indeed shared ahead of time, constituting confirmed malpractice.
Cambridge emphasized that its probe is still underway and that those responsible will face strict consequences as more evidence surfaces.
This development comes on the heels of student frustration in Pakistan earlier this year. In April, Cambridge faced criticism for awarding average grades after cancelling A-Level exams scheduled for May 9 and 12 due to nationwide unrest. Many students expressed anger over what they felt were unfair academic assessments.
