A 16-year-old student from Rehman Allawala School in Karachi, Mahrooz, has created Pakistan’s first AI-powered calculator in the Sindhi language. Developed in just three days, this innovative tool is aimed at supporting Sindhi-speaking business owners, especially those with limited education.
Mahrooz, who champions the value of practical skills over academic degrees, utilized ChatGPT and other technologies to create the calculator.
She believes that with governmental support, it could be commercialized for wider use. Stressing the importance of skills in today’s competitive world, she encourages young individuals to focus on acquiring skills and begin working instead of waiting to complete their degrees.
Mahrooz has been recognized for her talent, receiving awards from the Russian Cultural and Science Center and excelling in speech competitions. Her teachers praise her innovative mindset and underscore the significance of learning while earning. Moreover, she is already earning in dollars and runs her own private channel.
