ISLAMABAD : SHARP organized an enlightening sensitization workshop for Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) interns and lawyers in Islamabad, offering in-depth insights into our work and an overview of human rights and refugee laws. The workshop began with a warm welcome and keynote address by CEO Mr. Mudassar Javed on principles of humanitarian assistance and protection environment, followed by a detailed presentation by PC Mr. Aatif Afzal on SHARP’s mandate, scope of work and the state of human rights.
ALAC Team Lead Mr. Taufiq Ahmed and Lawyer Mr. Zia Shah discussed our legal aid & assistance operations, capacity-building initiatives and conventions dealing with refugee phenomena, while Ms. Maleeha Sami provided an overview of our MHPSS services. Ms. Kainat spoke on integrity and PSEA measures. FM (Kohat) Mr. Ghias Gilani concluded the workshop with an in-depth presentation on Alternative Dispute Resolution concepts, processes and practices, which was followed by a hugely enthusiastic Q&A session.
The workshop ended with Chairman Syed Liaqat Banori’s inspirational concluding remarks, reinforcing our dedication to community support and human rights.
