KARACHI – The story of HUM TV’s latest play Ishq Zahe Naseeb is an intertwined story of Gohar, a moderate girl belonging to a mediocre household, her love interest Kashif, a sole bread-earner of his family and the only brother to three sisters and her sister’s boss Sameer, an introvert with a very strange personality.
With the responsibility of three sisters, Kashif is unable to send a marriage proposal for Gohar, but the scenario changes when Gohar’s aunt sends her son’s proposal for her and she and Kashif decide to marry in secret. The story takes an interesting turn when Gohar starts nursing Sameer’s stepmother and discovers that the person who runs a successful business has a split personality disorder.
Everyday at 6 pm, Sameer dresses up as a girl, puts on makeup and talks to himself till morning. On the other hand, the day Gohar and Kashif were supposed to meet at the marriage registrar’s office, they both realize the burden and responsibilities they carry on their shoulders and decide not to show up without speaking to each other, each feeling the guilt of betraying the other.
