Pakistan: Muhammad Noman Saigal Convener Central Standing Committee for Horticulture and Former Minister of Environment, Health, and IT has expressed the need for plants to improve the climate of big cities like Karachi and to reduce pollution as well.
He stressed that if every individual from the age of 6 years to 60 can place one small plant outside their home business place or apartment will refresh the whole locality.
Similarly, Singapore can see greenery and fresh air due to plantations all over the city now Dubai is adopting the same strategy. He stressed bringing awareness among the masses by starting the awareness of plantation from class one in all the schools so the children can practically implement the same at home and school. This is a great hobby as well.
He also requested the forest and environment department government of Sind to support the cause. Free plants should be distributed by the Government Sector to improve the climate at large. He also requested the business community and corporate sector to support the cause. He further started to start the plantation campaign by himself as well. Let’s make our City and Country green.
