Naveed Mushtaq (Chapter President), extended a warm welcome to the alumni, expressing gratitude for their impressive turnout. He emphasized the chapter’s forthcoming initiatives and outlined the leadership’s strategic approach to addressing alumni feedback and future endeavors. As the largest chapter in Punjab, he announced the Chapter’s desire to welcome smaller chapters across the province with the Lahore chapter evolving into the Punjab chapter.

Dr. Irum Saba (Associate Professor and Program Director MS-IBF Program at IBA) representing the School of Business Studies, acknowledged the strong bond among alumni and commended the efforts of the chapter in fostering connections and supporting alumni around the world.

Former President of the Lahore Chapter, Mr. Murtaza Raza, praised the current leadership for upholding the chapter’s legacy and was encouraged by the increased turnout over the years. Ms. Mahwish Ahmed, Representative IBA Center for Information & Communication Technologies (CICT) and Mr. Mukesh Kumar, President – Karachi Chapter, also attended the event.

Malahat Awan, Director of Alumni Affairs and Resource Mobilization, emphasized the pivotal role of alumni in nurturing a supportive community. She stressed the significance of alumni engagement in providing mentorship and career guidance to younger members, fostering solidarity within the community. She spoke about the importance of giving back to one’s alma mater and the impact donations make in the success of students at IBA Karachi who can study without the financial fears plaguing our society today.

Higher education is the greatest upliftment vehicle and we have witnessed success stories of our students rising through the ranks through the generosity and support of our community.

The presence of the Alumni Placement Society underscored the commitment of IBA’s students to support and engage with alumni professionally. Their involvement highlighted the importance of networking and collaboration for career advancement.

The Annual Iftar Dinner served as a reminder of the profound impact of shared experiences and collective efforts. Looking ahead, we are committed to continuing this tradition of fellowship and collaboration, strengthening our bonds, and making meaningful contributions to our alma mater and society.
