Jeddah: Saudi Arabia’s metropolitan city Jeddah hosted its first hands-on training on laser proctology at King Abdul Aziz University Hospital Jeddah. The workshop has been conducted with the collaboration of Lasotronix Poland and technical support, a distributor of laser machinery in Jeddah. Doctors from all over the world attended this program including Morocco, Egypt, Bahrain, Algeria etc.
In this workshop, Dr Arshad Ullah Khan attended as a master trainer and he has performed live surgeries.
During his lecture, he highlighted that laser surgery has many advances such as low post-operative pain, early recovery good wound healing, and minimal complications as compared to open surgery.
Doctors have appreciated this live surgical session learned the management of many complicated cases and have requested similar workshops in the future.
Dr. Khan has talked to us about the usage of Master and hopes to conduct a similar workshop in his home country Pakistan as well.
Mr.Azam, the head of Lasotronix talked to us and explained the role of laser in vascular surgery, pain management, and dental surgery. He will introduce this helpful device to many countries and will recommend doctors attend proper training courses before using this device.
