Karachi, Pakistan – World Athlon, in collaboration with the Pakistan Navy, successfully
hosted the Keep Beach Clean Run 2024 at the picturesque Pakistan Naval Academy Outdoor
Sports Complex on Manora Drive. The event, organized under the leadership of the
Commander Karachi, Pakistan Navy, was a grand success, thanks to the unwavering support
of the Pakistan Navy. The Chief Guest, Captain Faisal Ahmed Khan PN, Deputy Commandant
of the Pakistan Naval Academy, graced the occasion, underscoring the Navy’s dedication to
environmental conservation and community engagement.
The event saw over 450 runners from various clubs and associations across Karachi and
Pakistan, coming together in a joint effort to foster unity and teamwork in support of
environmental preservation. With the stunning coastline of Karachi as the backdrop,
participants joined forces to promote the shared mission of keeping the beach clean.
10 KM Male Race: 1. Muhammad Irfan (Pakistan Road Runners) – 35:34 (1st place), 2. Shakir
Usman (Pakistan Navy) – 36:40 (2nd place), 3. Muhammad Amjad (SVRC) – 37:20 (3rd place)
10 KM Female Race: 1. Mumtaz Niamat (Pakistan Navy) – 49:31 (1st place), 2. Sehrish Khan
(Sindh Track and Field) – 53:23 (2nd place), 3. Dua Nazakat (Sindh Track and Field) – 55:32
(3rd place)
5 KM Male Race: 1. Ali Hassan – 17:10 (1st place), 2. Ibrar Hussain (Pakistan Road Runners) –
17:40 (2nd place), 3. Muhammad Zain (Pakistan Road Runners) – 17:50 (3rd place)
5 KM Female Race: 1. Qandeel Sultan (Sindh Track and Field) – 23:23 (1st place), 2. Mahnoor
Fatima (Sindh Track and Field) – 24:24 (2nd place), 3. Humna Anwar (Pakistan Road Runners)
- 26:44 (3rd place)
Top three winners in each category were awarded cash prizes and medals, while
participants finishing 4th to 6th received Alkaram Suits. Those placing 7th to 10th were
given Roxen Wear Brand T-shirts. Certificates were also presented to the top 10 position
holders in each category.
The Keep Beach Clean Run 2024 was hailed as a huge success, highlighting the important
message of environmental stewardship while celebrating athleticism. Organizers extended
heartfelt gratitude to participants, sponsors, and volunteers for making the event
memorable and impactful.
