Karachi (21 October 2024) : Senator Waqar Mehdi, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister Sindh and General Secretary of PPP Sindh chapter, hailed the broad consensus and approval of the 26th Constitutional Amendment as a major political achievement of PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. He stated that the passage of this amendment is a testament to the political wisdom and leadership of the 36-year-old Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
In his statement, Waqar Mehdi further congratulated the nation on receiving this gift of the 26th Constitutional Amendment from Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. He said that with the approval of this amendment, Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has fulfilled the dream of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto. The amendment upholds the supremacy of the Constitution and Parliament, ensuring swift and indiscriminate justice for the people.
Waqar Mehdi added that the 26th Constitutional Amendment will protect judges from the lingering influence of figures like Justice Munir and Iftikhar Chaudhry.
