Karachi (May 12, 2025) – A victory celebration was held in Naya Nazimabad following the Pakistan-India ceasefire and the remarkable success of Pakistan’s armed forces. The event was attended by Arif Habib, Chairman of Arif Habib Group and a prominent national investor, CEO of Naya Nazimabad Samad A. Habib, President of Naya Nazimabad Gymkhana Syed Muhammad Talha, Chairman of Ghani Usman Security Haji Ghani Usman, along with other notable personalities and local residents. Their presence sent a strong message to the enemies of Pakistan: the nation stands firmly united behind its defenders like a wall of steel. A celebratory cake was also cut on this occasion.
Speaking at the event, Arif Habib said that Operation Banyan Marsous has filled the nation with pride. He described Pakistan’s success in a war initiated by India as a moment of great joy for the entire nation. “Our unity is the key to our success,” he remarked, adding that people of all ethnicities and religions in Pakistan showed solidarity, which proves that everyone living in Pakistan enjoys full freedom. He emphasized that wars are not won through propaganda but through bravery and resilience—something Pakistan and its armed forces have demonstrated clearly.
Arif Habib also commended the role of the armed forces in maintaining national security. He congratulated Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmad Babar Sidhu, Naval Chief Admiral Naveed Ashraf, and the Government of Pakistan. According to him, this outstanding achievement has increased Pakistan’s prestige even in developed nations.
He expressed gratitude to all friendly countries—including the United States, China, Türkiye, UAE, and Saudi Arabia—for playing an important diplomatic role in facilitating the agreement. He praised the Pakistani media for playing a positive and responsible role, especially in contrast to Indian media, and presenting the facts, which were recognized and appreciated globally.
The people of Pakistan and their armed forces have proven that wars are fought and won with courage and determination, Arif Habib.
He reiterated that war is never a solution and that Pakistan has always advocated peace and will continue to do so. However, he noted that the path to peace depends on the intent of the other party. He hoped the journey of peace and prosperity continues and stressed the urgent need to strengthen the economy so that the benefits of all national achievements reach the public. “Our economic challenges will only end when the national economy thrives,” he added.
On this occasion, Haji Ghani Usman stated that the war started by India affected innocent civilians in Pakistan. He emphasized that Pakistan has always called for peace, not war, but Indian Prime Minister Modi’s aggression backfired and brought him disgrace. “Even his own people are now compelled to praise Pakistan,” he remarked. He thanked Allah for raising Pakistan’s honor and congratulated Army Chief General Asim Munir, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Babar Sidhu, Naval Chief Admiral Naveed Ashraf, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and the entire armed forces of Pakistan. He stated that Pakistan has proven to be a peace-loving nation that prioritizes peace but is fully capable of defending itself.
In his speech, Samad A. Habib paid tribute to the bravery and sacrifices of the Pakistan Army. “We are proud of our military. Because of them, we sleep peacefully knowing they are vigilant and protecting us,” he said. He added that every child of the nation is grateful to the military for offering their lives in service to protect the country and its people. The Pakistani nation stood united with its armed forces like a fortified wall.
Participants at the Naya Nazimabad victory celebration raised resounding slogans of “Pakistan Zindabad” (Long Live Pakistan).
