Karachi: A resident of Metropolitan City Karachi, fed up with the rise of the beggar mafia in our city. In every country homeless and poverty exists, as country become more developed they’re more likely to acknowledge poverty as a failure and address it through welfare or any other charity institution.
Like in many other third world countries here in Pakistan we found massive numbers of homeless and poverty, and now there are estimated to be at least 25 millions beggars in our country, Karachi and Lahore have a higher number. The beggar mafia is organized into a base class of beggars who are assigned to handle their bag, timings and locations. Their major points to beg are outside shopping malls, Traffic signals, Parking areas and other crowded places. Children play an important role in this mafia because no heart can ignore an innocent and hopeless kid lonely on these streets.
Consider this issue and highlight it in your newspaper so that the authorities are alerted to look into this situation as soon as possible. So, this country can be a better place for its citizens and kids to have a better future.
