Karachi ,November 19, 2025 : Special Assistant to the Chief Minister of Sindh on Investment and Public-Private Partnership Syed Qasim Naveed Qamar was met today by the Consul General of Turkey Ergul Kadak along with his Commercial Attaché Murat Ozmen at the office of the Department of Investment.
On this occasion, bilateral matters were discussed.
The Special Assistant to the Chief Minister of Sindh gave a detailed briefing to the Turkish Consul General about Dhabeji Special Economic Zone, Karachi Education City, Marble City Karachi, Khairpur Special Economic Zone, and other investment sectors in Sindh.
Syed Qasim Naveed Qamar also informed the distinguished guests about the vibrant Public Private Partnership Unit of Sindh and said that there are vast investment opportunities in the province even under the Public Private Partnership model.
The Turkish Consul General expressed deep interest in investment in Sindh, especially in the Karachi Education City.
Special Assistant to the Chief Minister of Sindh, Syed Qasim Naveed Qamar, informed the distinguished guests about investment opportunities in Sindh in education, agriculture, energy, infrastructure, information technology, water recycling, environment, industry and trade and other sectors and informed that the Sindh government has also established the Sindh Transmission and Dispatch Company, which is providing facilities to power generation companies.
Syed Qasim Naveed Qamar also informed the distinguished guests about the production of dates in Khairpur district of Sindh and highlighted the possibilities of investment in the date sector.
Syed Qasim Naveed Qamar said that the Sindh government is also committed to creating a Special Economic Zone in Hyderabad, where companies manufacturing motorcycles and electric appliances have shown keen interest in the beginning.
The Special Assistant to the Chief Minister of Sindh also spoke about tax exemptions and other incentives on investment in Special Economic Zones.
On this occasion, Secretary Investment Sindh Raja Khurram Shahzad apprised the distinguished guests about the mineral reserves of the province and the sectors available for investment in the province, ongoing projects and the performance of his department.
Additional Secretary Investment Department Behzad Memon,Deputy Secretary Aftab Buzdar, Chief Executive Officer Sindh Enterprise Development Fund Khizar Pervez, Chief Executive Officer of Sindh Economic Zone Authority Faisal Mujeeb, Project Director CLICK Asif Kareem, Senior Officer Karachi Education City Adnan Sheikh, Senior Officer Sindh Economic Zone Management Company Hammad Shams and other officers were also present in the meeting.
