Karachi: Rotary should be made more active with the spirit of service, District Governor Rotary International District 3271 Dr. Aftab Imam said on the official visit of Rotary Club of Karachi Nexus and Club Installation Ceremony.

Dr. Aftab Imam further said that it is very important to achieve all the goals of Rotary so that the problems of the common man can be solved and society can be improved. More Rotary clubs and members will have to be formed to expand the scope of Rotary with a spirit of service.
He said that Rotary International should work on new projects for education, health, and poverty alleviation. Corona epidemic has created problems, especially in Pakistan, where unemployment and poverty have risen and more than 50 million people have been forced to live below the poverty line. While millions of children have been deprived of education, he said that millions of children are suffering from malnutrition and they also need to be vaccinated against congenital diseases.
Dr. Aftab Imam said that Rotary International runs free medical camps for the people living in rural areas, so that can stay healthy and protected from diseases. The rotary mission is healthy Pakistan which all Rotary clubs and Rotarians are working together. He said that Rotary clubs are also working hard to eradicate illiteracy from the country as education gives awareness and without education, no society can develop. Nor is there any country that is why Rotary International provides books to children through mobile libraries for education so that the candle of knowledge can be lit in them because these children are our future, said Dr. Aftab Imam. “If we do not provide health and education to our young children today, then tomorrow we will have a sick, emaciated and ignorant future,” he said.
Ali Haider said that most of the charity in the world is done in Pakistan but due to the inflation rate is increasing day by day. He said that Rotary International is working hard to eradicate poverty in the country. He Rotarians are engaged in social services day and night who believe in serving humanity regardless of race or color.
Zubair said that Rotary International would pay special attention to the education and training of girls in rural Sindh and would promote other skills besides their handicrafts to introduce Pakistani talent all over the world which would improve their economic condition and develop self-confidence.
Dr. Khalid Hussain Sheikh said that Rotary International is an asset under whose auspices more work is being done in Pakistan in education, health, and other fields whether it is mobile libraries or free medical camps, eradication of polio, or prevention of corona. Rotary International is working hard to eradicate ignorance not only from Pakistan but from all over the world.
Dr. Zahid Ansari said that people are being made healthy for a healthy Pakistan. Expect corona vaccine we should provide all types of vaccines to the people so that Pakistan can be disease-free.
Sardar Humayun said that the mission of Rotary is to provide necessities of life to the people for which Rotarian’s and Rotary are working on various social projects with spirit of service.
Dr. Aftab Imam pinned the new members. Muhammad Ali Haider presented a souvenir to Dr. Aftab Imam on behalf of the club. Founder and Executive Secretary Aslam Khaliq thanked the guests at the end of the function.
