Rajab Butt Leaves Pakistan Amid Controversy, Puts Vlogging on Hold Until Mother’s Consent

Popular YouTuber Rajab Butt has temporarily exited Pakistan and announced a pause in his vlogging activities following controversy over alleged disrespect toward Islamic figures in his recent content. While he did not disclose his current location, Butt referred to both Dubai and Pakistan time during a TikTok live session, suggesting he is overseas.

He clarified that while YouTube vlogs are on hold, he will remain active on TikTok live, offering updates and engaging with fans.

This is not the first time Butt has left the country during legal troubles. Previously, he took refuge in Dubai and London amid similar controversies, only returning to Pakistan once cases against him were resolved.

In his latest livestream, Butt said he is refraining from uploading vlogs out of respect for his mother’s wishes, who is reportedly very disturbed by the current situation. He shared that she personally dropped him at the airport, prioritizing his safety above all else.

“I am not quitting vlogging,” Butt stated. “But I will not post anything unless my mother allows it. She’s concerned about my well-being more than anything.”

Butt further explained that while the controversy—alleging blasphemous content related to a companion of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)—sparked backlash, he believes the issue has been exaggerated for personal gain by others. He revealed that he has already recorded content to clarify his stance, which will be shared once the environment is more conducive.

Legal petitions, including one filed in the Lahore High Court, are seeking action against Butt under blasphemy laws, heightening the sensitivity of the matter. For now, he remains on a voluntary hiatus, waiting for calmer days to return to the platform.
