ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Imran Khan has urged the European Union to highlight the ongoing human rights violations in Indian occupied Kashmir.
He was talking to European Union’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Frederica Mogherini who called on him in Islamabad.
While expressing satisfaction on the positive momentum in the relations between Pakistan and EU, he termed the EU as major trade and investment partner of Pakistan.
He welcomed the increase in Pak-EU bilateral trade since the inception of GSP Plus scheme.
The Prime Minister apprised the EU High Representative on the current regional situation, including Pakistan’s positive role in Afghan reconciliation process and deescalating tensions with India.
Imran Khan said Pakistan attaches high importance to its relations with the European Union and all its member states.
