The reaction of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) came out on the statement of the president of the Asia Cricket Council.

The spokesperson of the Pakistan Cricket Board says that they are surprised and disappointed by the statement of ACC President Jay Shah, this statement was given without consulting the ACC Board or PCB.

According to the spokesperson of PCB, this statement given without thinking will have negative effects.

The spokesperson of PCB says in this regard that Jay Shah’s statement of transferring the event from Pakistan is one-sided, his statement is equivalent to dividing ICC and ACC.

The spokesperson further said that this statement may affect Pakistan’s participation in the World Cup scheduled in India in 2023 and the ICC events scheduled in India from 2024 to 2031.

According to PCB, in the ACC meeting held under the chairmanship of Jay Shah, the hosting of the Asia Cup was entrusted to Pakistan.

In its response, the Pakistan Cricket Board said that no official explanation has been received from the ACC on the statement of the ACC President.

PCB has also requested the ACC to convene an emergency meeting on this important and sensitive issue.
