KARACHI – In an historical development for Pakistani films, Parwaz Hai Junoon starring the very talented Hamza Ali Abbasi, Hania Amir and Ahad Raza Mir in lead roles is set to release in China on November 13, 2020.
Produced by Momina Duriad under the banner of Momina and Duraid Films and distributed by HUM Films, PHJ was released on Eid-ul-Azha 2018 and became the highest international box office grosser at the time.
PHJ is one of the top five highest grossing films of the country and its release in China is a landmark achievement which will open doors for all local films to the world’s largest cinema market. The contract to release PHJ in China was signed between producer Momina Duraid and Mr Wang Ye of Fire International Media last year.
The signing was part of the Pakistan China Trade and Investment Forum, held last year in Beijing. Parwaaz Hai Junoon was the first Pakistani film that was released commercially in Saudia Arabia and has now become the first Pakistani film in over three decades to be commercially released across mainland China.
