North Waziristan Operations Continue Against Militants

North Waziristan remained the focus of multiple intelligence-based operations conducted by Pakistan’s security forces over the past several days.
According to ISPR, security personnel engaged several militant locations in the Miran Shah area and surrounding regions of North Waziristan District in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Officials stated that these operations formed part of an ongoing counterterrorism campaign.
North Waziristan Operations Expand
According to the official statement, security forces conducted engagements across multiple locations during the last seventy-two hours.
ISPR reported that security personnel killed twenty-one additional militants during the latest exchanges of fire. The statement added that four alleged militant ring leaders were among those killed.
The individuals identified in the statement included Khalid Raza alias Salar, Muftoon, Musa, and Imran alias Ayan.
As a result of recent operations, ISPR stated that the total number of militants killed reached forty-eight.
Security Forces Target Militant Network
According to ISPR, the individuals killed were wanted for alleged involvement in attacks against security personnel and civilians.
Officials also stated that security forces recovered weapons and ammunition during the operations.
Furthermore, the statement described the actions as part of broader efforts to disrupt militant networks operating in the area.

Azm e Istehkam Campaign Continues
ISPR stated that sanitization operations would continue to identify and remove remaining militant presence in affected areas.
According to the statement, these operations align with the broader counterterrorism framework under the “Azm e Istehkam” initiative approved through the Federal Apex Committee under the National Action Plan.
Additionally, security officials stated that law enforcement agencies and security institutions would continue operations aimed at countering militant activity across the country.
