Karachi — Thousands of fishermen, women, and children from Ibrahim Hyderi took to the streets in protest against prolonged and unjust load shedding, under the leadership of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) District Malir President, Jan Alam Jamot. The rally began from Jamot Housing Society and culminated in a sit-in outside the main office of K-Electric.
The protest was led by Jan Alam Jamot, President of PPP District Malir, along with Mehran Ali Shah, Chairman of the Pakistan Fisherfolk Forum, Tabish Baloch, Yousuf Baloch, and other social and political leaders.

Protesters stated that the fishing communities in Ibrahim Hyderi and surrounding areas are subjected to load shedding from 6 a.m. to midnight every day, severely affecting their livelihoods and causing immense hardship for children, the elderly, and women.
On the occasion, Jan Alam Jamot demanded the immediate removal of K-Electric’s GM, Imran Jamil, and called for uninterrupted power supply to fishing settlements. He warned that if the issue is not resolved, the protest will be expanded and taken to the Chief Minister’s House.
The demonstrators chanted slogans against K-Electric’s “oppression” and “tyranny” and vowed to continue their peaceful yet determined protest until their demands are met.
