Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s son, Junaid Safdar, is reportedly preparing for his second marriage, according to sources cited by ARY News on Thursday. The engagement has been finalized within the Sharif family circle, with the match confirmed about six weeks ago to a family based in Lahore.
Junaid Safdar, who completed his education in the United Kingdom, currently lives in Lahore. Both families are planning to hold the engagement ceremony soon, with the dates for the engagement and nikah to be mutually decided.
Junaid Safdar, a Cambridge University graduate, holds two master’s and two bachelor’s degrees from various UK universities. Previously, he was married to Ayesha Saif, daughter of Qatari businessman Saif-ur-Rehman Khan, in 2021. However, the marriage ended in October 2023.
Junaid confirmed the divorce on Instagram, describing it as a private matter and requesting the media to respect their privacy.
