LADIESFUND Hosts Breast Cancer Awareness & Free Mammogram Screening Session in Lahore – February 2026

Lahore, Pakistan – February 2026 : LADIESFUND, Pakistan’s leading women-focused platform, in collaboration with Chughtai Healthcare, hosted “LADIESFUND Breast Cancer Heart-to-Heart,” an exclusive women-only Breast Cancer Awareness Talk and Mammogram Screening Session focused on education, empowerment, and the life-saving importance of early detection.
Held at Chughtai Healthcare Head Office, Lahore, the impactful session brought together over 150 women, creating a safe, powerful, and supportive space for learning, shared experiences, and open dialogue. The initiative was organized under UMEED by LADIESFUND, LADIESFUND’s breast cancer awareness and support platform, in collaboration with Dawood Global Foundation.

The event featured interactive sessions and impactful addresses by distinguished speakers, CEO LADIESFUND Tara Uzra Dawood, breast cancer survivors Nadia Fazal Jamil and Lishiana Arslan, entrepreneur Myra Qureshi, doctors Dr Attika Maryam and Dr. Fatima Rooman, breast cancer caregivers Nusrat Jamil, Hassan Ahmed, Mir Vali Pervez Ahmad, and Sana Aamir and Javaria Khan of Chughtai Healthcare,  among others.  Senior women professionals from leading corporates such as Faysal Bank, Dawood Family Takaful Ltd., Meezan Bank, Sapphire, PC Hotels, Bank Al Habib and Allied Bank were also in attendance.
“We are transforming the baby pink of breast cancer into the magenta pink of LADIESFUND as we infuse agency and women empowerment into the cause, motivating and inspiring women to choose early detections, self-love, care for their bodies and lives and get a mammogram. Over 150 woman of LADIESFUND attended this event and each got a free mammogram of state of the art equipment at Chughtai Labs,” said Tara Uzra Dawood, CEO, Dawood Global Foundation – LADIESFUND.

“Cancer transformed me from a fearful, insecure woman into a survivor and a leader. Before my diagnosis, I was timid. Today, I feel the fear and still move forward, anywhere and everywhere. Early detection saves lives. Self-examination matters, and timely screening can mean less aggressive treatment and better outcomes,” said actress activist and breast cancer survivor Nadia Jamil.

“I’ve been waiting for a platform like LADIESFUND to share my journey as a breast cancer survivor. Turning my pain into purpose means helping other women feel seen, supported, and never alone,” said breast cancer survivor Lishiana Arslan.

“It was a very meaningful session. I have always feared the word cancer – my father had it, my mother had it, and now my daughter has faced it too. That is why I truly believe early detection is vital. Its importance cannot be overstated. Please raise awareness within your own homes talk to your sons and daughters about breast health and timely screening. In the end, I would like to sincerely appreciate Chughtai Lab and LADIESFUND for their efforts in spreading awareness and saving lives,” said Nusrat Jamil.

A defining feature of the event was the real-time mammogram screenings conducted at Chughtai Healthcare during the session. Women attended their mammograms and returned to share their experiences, helping to break stigma, ease fears, and encourage others to take immediate action toward early detection.
As part of the initiative, LADIESFUND and Chughtai Healthcare jointly distributed complimentary mammogram vouchers, ensuring that attendees received access to free screening using state-of-the-art equipment.
Through initiatives such as “Breast Cancer Heart-to-Heart,” LADIESFUND continues to lead impactful conversations around women’s health, champion early detection, and foster meaningful collaborations with healthcare institutions, corporates, and partners to create lasting change.
