Karachi: Provincial Minister for Culture and Tourism, Nawadat and Archives, Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah, met with a delegation of poets led by Mahmood Ahmed Khan.
The delegation presented a beautifully crafted bouquet of international and national poets, inviting the city of Quaid to the 29th World Poetry Festival.


The international festival will be held at Expo on April 20 in Karachi.
Provincial Minister Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah was briefed by Chief Organizer Mahmood Ahmed Khan about the festival.
Poets from various cities of the country as well as from abroad will participate in the festival.


The Sindh government is taking concrete steps to promote literary and cultural activities, the provincial minister said.
The organization of literary and cultural activities has highlighted Karachi’s positive image in the literary world.


The organization of the annual international poetry festival in Karachi under the auspices of the residents of the city of Quaid is an important and positive effort for the promotion of art and culture in the city.
On this occasion, members of the delegation included Khalid Jameel Shamsi, Zafar Nadeem Sadiqi, Tawqeer A. Khan, Dr. Shabir Arain, and Jamal Azhar.
