Karachi,Pakistan : Special people are an important part of our society and many measures are being taken for their welfare. The Sindh Princes with Disabilities Protection Authority (SPDPA) is working for the rehabilitation of disabled persons across the province in which issuing disability assessment certificate to special persons is the most important initiative.
This certificate issued by the Government of Sindh gives special persons access to financial assistance from Baitul-Mal, exemption in education fees and 5% quota in private and government jobs, besides on import of airlines, rail and disability related goods. Duty free facilities are also available.
It is also the top priority of Sindh government to provide resources to special people to start personal business through micro credit after obtaining this certificate.
SPDPA has so far organized 31 one-window camps in different districts of the province, in which four thousand seven hundred and twenty two special persons have been issued their identity cards and special person certificates.
The registered NGOs should organize as many one-window camps for CNIC of special persons under one roof as possible so that the special persons can have facilities for making ID cards and other important documents.
