Patran (February 4, 2025) A collection of poems by renowned Punjabi poet Sir Gurcharan Singh Dhanju “Virse De Harf” was dedicated to the people by Punjabi Sahit Sabha Patran (Patiala) at Batra Academy, Jakhal Road, Patran. Dr. Jagmail Singh Bhathuan was the chief guests in this programe. The ceremony of reading the pamphlet about book “Virse De Harf” was performed by senior journalist Bhupinder Jit Singh Maulvi Wala and the main stanza of the book was read out by Tarsem Singh Khaspuri, President of the Sahet Sabhan Patran. The identity of the pen was mentioned by the patron of the Sabha, Mr. Baj Singh Ji Mahalia. Ravi Ghagga, executive member of the Sabha, played the role of stage moderator in a beautiful manner and the program was organized by Jatin Batra, Finance Secretary of the Sabha, as well as the rituals of honour were performed by the Vice President of the Sabha, Smt. Nirmala Garg .

On this occasion, Anita Arora Rinku Patran, Ramphal Rajalheri, Darshan Singh Ladbanjara, Khushpreet Singh Harigarh, Subhash Ghagga, Master Prem Singh Maulvi Wala read out their poetry songs etc . Famous Shayra Suman Deed Suttranan and the emerging poet Gurpreet Insan also added a lot of color to their poetry, Dr. Jagmail Singh Bhathuan and and his wife classical Singer Dr. Ravinder Kaur ‘Ravi’, former Assistant Professor, Department of Music, Punjabi University, Patiala were, sang the song “Chhala”, the famous composition of the eminent Punjabi poet Amarjit Singh Kassak . Dr. Jagmail Singh Bhathuan was the chief guest on the occasion; Former Professor Ravinder Kaur ‘Ravi’, Gurcharan Singh Dhanju and his wife Kulwinder Kaur, Vice President of the Sabha Tarsem Khaspuri, Vice President, Smt. Nirmala Garg, Chief Paper Speaker Bhupinder Jit Singh Maulvi Wala, and Patron of Punjabi Sahit Sabha Patran, Baz Singh Mahalia were honoured with mementos /Phulkari etc.
