Governor Sindh Urges Youth to Embrace AI and IT for a Brighter Future

Nihal Hashmi says Pakistan’s future depends on educated young people equipped with modern technology and skills.

Sindh Governor Syed Muhammad Nihal Hashmi visited NJV School in Karachi, where the school management board’s CEO Masood and other officials welcomed him.

During his interaction with students, the governor said Pakistan’s founders and their families migrated to the country in search of a better future. He urged today’s youth to prepare themselves for a changing world by turning towards artificial intelligence and information technology.

“Today’s youth must migrate towards AI and IT for development and a bright future,” Hashmi said.

He encouraged students to use digital platforms and modern skills to improve their career opportunities. He said young people could benefit from the Digital Youth Hub for employment opportunities, loans, laptops and other support services.

Education and National Service

The governor also spoke about studying abroad.

He said there was nothing wrong with young Pakistanis travelling overseas to gain quality education and international experience. However, he urged them to return home after completing their studies and contribute to Pakistan’s development.

Hashmi said the country needed skilled and educated young people who could use modern technology to solve national challenges.

“Pakistan’s future is linked to educated youth equipped with modern technology,” he said.

Governor Calls for Action on Child Labour

During the students’ interaction, Hashmi also responded to a question about child labour.

He said effective measures to eliminate child labour were urgently needed across the country.

The governor suggested that successful measures taken by the Punjab government under Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz to address child labour should be considered for implementation across Pakistan.

He said protecting children and ensuring access to education should remain a national priority.

Visit to Historic NJV School

During his visit, Hashmi toured the historic hall of NJV School, where sessions of the first Constituent Assembly of Pakistan were held.

He also inspected classrooms, the school library, science laboratory, sports grounds and arts and culture facilities.

The visit gave the governor an opportunity to interact with students and review the educational environment at one of Karachi’s historic institutions.

Hashmi said Pakistan could achieve a stronger and more prosperous future by investing in education, technology and young people.

He urged students to develop modern skills, take advantage of available opportunities and play an active role in the country’s progress.
