Government taking steps to promote sports: SAPM Usman Dar.

KARACHI, 08 February 2022: Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Youth Affairs, Usman Dar, reiterated how the government was committed to the promotion of sports in the country, he said while addressing the Press Conference at KPT Stadium in GSV Football Launch ceremony.

He highlighted the importance of sports in personal development and character building and linked it to the overarching objective of the Kamyab Jawan Program to promote the youth of the country. Especially addressing the participants of the event he asserted how, just like PSL, the government wants to have a platform to promote football in the country and link it with the economy of the country. He also encouraged the young football players to never give up, and to follow in the steps of Imran Khan who struggled constantly to achieve what he wanted. He again asserted that the government is committed to support every venture, like GSV, that helps promote sports and youth in the country. Pakistani Youth are our assets and they should be promoted in every sector especially Sports, he further added.

Governor Sindh attending the event organized under the Kamyab Jawan Program, as guest speaker, highlighted how the PTI Government is committed to promoting the country’s youth and utilizing their potential. He also suggested introspection as to why governments in the past had neglected the youth and failed to provide such productive opportunities to them. The hon’ble governor pinpointed how in Pakistan we have often failed to promote our stars. Further he highlighted how according to PM Imran Khan’s vision, the PTI Govt. is committed to youth development as they are the future of Pakistan.

Maira Khan also praised the organization of the event and expressed hope of seeing more youth-focused events like these in the future. The press conference was also attended by representatives from the Saint Patrick Athletic Football Club, PTI,
