FPCCI, DBC sign MoU to boost Pakistan’s int’l trade

ISLAMABAD: The Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) and Diplomatic Business Club (DBC) on Saturday signed a MoU to promote the country’s image and economy.

The DBC having over 300 leaders including the UK’s members of parliament and top officials of Gulf and Middle Eastern countries has the presence in the United Kingdom, Dubai, and UAE.

It is a respected global network that connects business-leaders, traders, investors, diplomats, and other eminent personalities from around the world through different events and activities in different countries.

On Saturday, President of FPCCI Ghazanfar Bilour and President DBC Ambassador Javed Malik signed the MoU.

Chairman Coordination FPCCI Malik Sohail, nominated vice presidents of FPCCI Ijaz Abbasi, Sheikh Abdul Waheed, and Qurban Ali Khan, President Sarhad Chamber Faiz Muhammad Faizi, former president of ICCI Muzammil Sabri, Kashif Shabbir, Adeel Rauf, Ali Zulfiquar, and others were also present at the occasion.

Both sides agreed to work together for promoting Pakistan’s business and economic interests at the national and international level and highlight investment opportunities in Pakistan.

Speaking at the occasion, President of FPCCI Ghazanfar Bilour said that FPCCI and DBC will utilize their resources in reaching out with the business community in the Gulf region and other countries.

He praised the active role being played by Javed Malik and expressed his whole-hearted support to the strategic alliance between the two organizations.

Ambassador Javed Malik said that DBC will help the business community of Pakistan in organizing business conferences, events, and single country exhibitions in the Gulf, Middle East, and EU.

We will encourage business delegations from Pakistan, UAE, GCC countries and Europe to visit each other’s countries for the promotion of trade and exports.

The Ambassador said that the situation in Gulf and the Middle East offers great potential to enhance exports and other countries and around the world.

He lauded the services of Malik Sohail for bringing together the diplomatic community with the businessmen.
