Field Marshal and Chief of Army Staff Syed Asim Munir held a special dinner to pay tribute to the political leadership, the unwavering commitment of the Armed Forces, and the resilient spirit of the Pakistani people demonstrated during Marka-e-Haq and Operation Bunyanum Marsoos, according to a statement by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The event was attended by top national figures, including President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, along with the Chairman Senate, Speaker of the National Assembly, federal ministers, governors, chief ministers, heads of the armed forces, senior political leaders, and high-ranking civil and military officials.
During the gathering, participants applauded the leadership that guided the country through a critical period, and saluted the Armed Forces for their bravery and the nation’s unity under pressure.
In his address, Field Marshal Asim Munir thanked the political leadership for their strategic vision during Marka-e-Haq and highlighted the exemplary inter-service cooperation that led to the success of Operation Bunyanum Marsoos.
He also recognized the pivotal role played by Pakistan’s youth and media in resisting Indian disinformation efforts, calling them a “steel wall” against hostile propaganda.
Additionally, the Army Chief praised the dedication of Pakistani scientists, engineers, and diplomats, whose efforts were vital in managing the conflict.
The evening served as a strong symbol of national solidarity, underscoring Pakistan’s collective strength and unified commitment to progress.
