Dr. Baig appointed on standing committees, commerce, finance & revenue and economic affairs.
Karachi 1st July 2024: The speaker of National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has been appointed Dr. Mirza Ikhtiar Baig MNA PPP Member of Standing committees of National Assembly on Finance, Commerce and Economic Affairs. Dr. Baig has the economic background and has been Senior Vice President of FPCCI, representing business community. He has been instrumental to propose reforms in taxes and energy sectors. The first meeting of the standing committee on Finance has been called on 11th July 2024 in the Parliament House to be Chaired by MNA Syed Naveed Qamar. Dr. Baig meeting trade bodies and chambers on the budget anomalies to take up in the standing committee on Finance.
