Danish Elahi and a few ex-employees of a private bank arrested in embezzlement case
KARACHI – Acting on an FIR lodged against Mr. Danish Elahi sole-proprietor of M/s. Elahi Group of Companies and few ex-employees of Bankislami in a case pertaining to irregularities/suspicious transactions found in their accounts, the FIA has arrested the prime accused along with few former employees of BankIslami Pakistan Limited. The magistrate has given their remand.
Evidence of embezzlement of funds and assets has already been established against the accused.
Elahi Group is also in default of PKR 1.4 billion (approx.) of the bank and FIA is also conducting a separate inquiry of wilful default against them.
