Karachi: The Consul General of the United Arab Emirates, Bakhit Atiq Al-Rumaiti, hosted a grand iftar and dinner in honor of the business community, with prominent businessmen from Karachi in attendance.
Notable personalities from Pakistan’s health sector and education industry were also specially invited and contributed to making the event even more memorable.
During the iftar and dinner, the guests were treated to a variety of delicious Pakistani and Arabic dishes and beverages, representing a harmonious blend of both cultures.
In his speech, Consul General Bakhit Atiq Al-Rumaiti highlighted the long-standing relations between Pakistan and the UAE, emphasizing that these ties have spanned several decades and are strong on both economic and cultural fronts.
He further stated that the UAE plans to make significant investments in Pakistan in the coming years, and that Pakistan has played a pivotal role in the development of the UAE. He also mentioned that countless Pakistani doctors are serving in the health sector in the UAE, making valuable contributions. In addition, there are numerous opportunities for both countries to collaborate in the field of sports.
Consul General Al-Rumaiti also noted that there is potential for further collaboration between the two countries in the area of food security. He reiterated that the UAE government is fully committed to supporting Pakistan’s economic stability at every level.
He also mentioned that the first-ever international date festival held in Pakistan stands as a practical example of the growing cooperation between the two countries and will open doors for more collaborative efforts in the future.
The event was a significant step toward strengthening the bonds between Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates and fostering further cooperation in various sectors.
