KARACHI, March 20, 2025 – In a significant move aimed at strengthening educational partnerships, the Chairman of the Association of Builders and Developers (ABAD), Muhammad Hassan Bakshi, accompanied by Vice President Tariq Aziz visited Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology (SSUET) and called on the Chancellor Muhammad Akbar Ali Khan to congratulate him for taking over as Chancellor SSUET.
During the meeting, Chairman Abad emphasized the importance of collaboration between educational institutions and industry leaders to prepare students for the challenges of the modern workforce. He highlighted the need for integrating practical skills and entrepreneurial training into the university curriculum to better equip graduates for success in their careers.
Chancellor Akbar Ali Khan expressed his gratitude for Chairman ABAD’s visit and shared his vision for SSUET as a leading institution in fostering innovation and research. He was of the view that the scope of civil engineering in Pakistan is bright. It is a very challenging field, yet students need to start this profession with the right qualifications and training to attract the right opportunities.
Both leaders recognized the need for regular dialogue and cooperation between the university and industry stakeholders to ensure that educational programs align with current market demands. The meeting was concluded with the exchange of souvenirs.
