A Talk for Breast Cancer Awareness was organised by Rotary Club Karachi-Roshni 3271 under the vision of Darakhshan Pakistan founded by Zubair Baweja who is also nominated Deputy Governor 2023-2024 Rotary District 3271 Along with RCK Roshni we had two other co-host clubs, RCK Avenue & RCK Parwaz.
The event was held at Regent Plaza Hotel, Karachi. RCK Roshni President Anita Kirmani, Vice President Sadaf T Belgaumi, Gen. Secretary Birjis Amir Ali & Dr Rabia Saeed were the women who worked enthusiastically to make this a successful event.
The speakers were Dr. Dinaz Ghandi, Consultant and Maxillofacial Oral Surgeon at the Aga Khan Hospital and Dr. Saima Faisal, MBBS, MSC Community Heath, worked in research setting at the SKMCH.
The Chief Guest was Mrs. Heather McInally First lady of Rotary International 2023-2024 & Dr Samina Ismail Aziz wife of Mr. Aziz Memon Trustee International Rotary.
The talk was attended by Mr. Gordon McInally RI President 2023-24, Mr Faiz Kidwai RI Director, District Governor Tehzeeb Kazmi, District Governor 2023-24 Mr Muhammad Hanif khan & members of all the factions of the Rotary Club along with every walk of life, doctors from the Aga Khan Hospital and other health institutions in Karachi. Amongst the attendees were girls of 15 years and women from all walks of life.
Through our Talk, if were are able to help someone and save even 1 life we’ll have succeeded. In Pakistan yearly 90,000/- cases are diagnosed, and many 1000s undiagnosed.
