Azerbaijan Visit Visa Update for Pakistanis

ISLAMABAD – Pakistani citizens are required to obtain a visit visa to enter Azerbaijan, a country located at the crossroads of West Asia and Eastern Europe.

Azerbaijan attracts a large number of tourists due to its rich cultural heritage, natural landscapes, and historical landmarks. The capital, Baku, is a lively city where modern architecture meets ancient history. Tourists can explore UNESCO-listed Icherisheher (Old City), visit the iconic Flame Towers, and walk along the scenic Caspian Sea Boulevard.

To facilitate travelers, Azerbaijan has introduced an online visa system — the “ASAN Visa” — which allows citizens of various countries, including Pakistan, to apply for an e-visa.

Azerbaijan Visit Visa Fees (as of January 2025)

Azerbaijan offers two categories for tourist e-visas:

Standard Visa
- Fee: $20
- Approximate cost in PKR: Rs5,611 (based on exchange rate of $1 = Rs280.55 as of April 14, 2025)
- Processing time: 3 to 5 working days
Urgent Visa
- Fee: $50
- Approximate cost in PKR: Rs14,027
- Processing time: 3 to 5 hours
