Karachi : A Qawwali Night Festival was organized at the community level in Askari Colony Karachi. In which Mujaddid Amjad Sabri, the son of Pakistan’s world-renowned Qawwal Amjad Sabri, demonstrated his art by singing Qawwali. On this occasion, he also presented popular ghazals and qawwalis of his father Amjad Sabri, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and Abida Parveen. A large number of youths, women and children participated in the Qawwali Night Festival. Director Askari Colonies Management Karachi, Brigadier (R) Zafar Iqbal, attended the ceremony as chief guest.

Sufi music is highly appreciated all over the world. The art of Qawwali is about six hundred years old in the Indo-Pak, which is being transmitted back and forth and reaching us. Game shows, jewelry, food stalls and swings/rides for children were also arranged for the participants of the Qawwali Night Festival. In the Qawwali Night, the mystic and mystical poetry of prominent poets of the subcontinent was presented in his melodious and melodious voice and the audience was delighted. Mujaddid Amjad Sabri said that not only in Pakistan but also at the global level, my father Amjad Sabri has made Pakistan famous with the art of Qawwali.
