The 71st Meeting of Advance Studies & Research Board (ASRB) of Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur was held presided over by the Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto.
At the outset of the meeting, Prof. Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto welcomed the learned members of ASRB. While talking to the participants, Dr. Khalil Ahmed Ibupoto remarked that we are striving to promote the research culture and innovation at the campus because research has direct relevance with the socio-economic development, change and transformation of society. Our research scholars are embarking research in line with the minimum eligibility criteria of Higher Education Commission, Islamabad.
After detailed deliberations, the various important decisions were made. The Members confirmed the minutes of the 70thMeting of ASRB. The action taken by the Vice Chancellor were noted by the Board. The Board recommended to award the Ph. D Degrees to 16 research scholars in various fields. Mr. Bilal Muhammad, Mr. Zaheer Ahmed Mahar, Mr. Abdul Rauf Shaikh, Mr. Ata Hussain Rind, Ms. Seema Sarwar Ghumro, Ms. Majeea Ruk, Ms. Tasneem KousarLarik, Mr. Muhammad Rafique Shaikh, Mr. Muhammad Zahid Maitlo, Mr. Sarfaraz Ahmed Ahmed Bhutto, Mr. Dad Muhammad Katohar, Mr. Mashooque Ali Mahar, Mr. Ali Raza Lashari, Mr. Shoukat Ali Mahar, Mr. Allah Dino and Syed Musarrat Iqbal Zaidi were recommended to award Ph. D Degrees in the fields of International Relations, Chemistry, Zoology, Business Administration, Commerce & Management, Sindhi, Computer Science, Public Administration, Pakistan Studies and Islamic Studies. The Board recommended to award M.S/M. Phil Degrees to 64 research scholars in various Faculties.
The ASRB approved the Synopsis of 70 research scholars of M.S/M. Phil and Ph. D. The research period of 35 research scholars of M.S/M. Phil and Ph. D in various fields was extended. 26 Research Guides and Co-Guides were appointed in various Faculties.
