Living up to its tradition, SSGC organized Mehfil-e-Milaad-un-Nabi, PBUH an indispensable feature of the blessed month of Rabi-Al-Awwal that marks the birth of Almighty’s final messenger Prophet Mohammad (PBUH). Large number of SSGC employees attended the Milaad held at the Company’s Head Office auditorium in Karachi on October 14, 2022. The event was organized by the Company’s Corporate Communication Department with requisite support from Admin and Services Departments.
Reputed Islamic scholar Allama Dr. Syed Mehboob-ul-Hasan Bukhari was invited to speak at the event. In his thought-provoking talk, the learned scholar reiterated that there are so many precious and beautiful aspects of the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) that one can easily benefit from and embody all year round. Allama saheb underscored the point that Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) is the ultimate epitome of perfection chosen for us by Allah (SWT) and it is incumbent on us to follow his teachings of righteousness and virtue.
The event was also marked by heart rending naat renditions by reputed Sanaa khuwaans Shafiq Ahmed, Asad Ayub and Faheem Niazi, besides a few Company employees. It was a treat to hear the Sanaa khuwaans who gave their renditions in praise of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) with tremendous passion and gusto. The learned scholar Dr. Bukhari concluded the proceedings with a comprehensive dua.
The Milaad was aptly hosted by a respected religious programs Mohammad Ali Gohar. Another former SSGC employee Qari Rais Ahmed recited verses from the Holy Quran to begin the program.
Imran Maniar, MD, SSGC also attended the Milaad and thanked the guests and the Company audience for their presence in large numbers. MD, SSGC presented bouquets and giveaways to the guests. A collection of booklets on Islamic teachings was also distributed to the Company employees at the culmination of the program. Salman A. Siddiqui, Head of Corporate Communications, thanked Dr. Bukhari and the Sanaa khuwaans for gracing the occasion and said that SSGC would welcome them with open arms in the future too.
