It was decided to set up a technical committee on the issue of fire in a private shopping mall in Islamabad’s Sector F8.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Irfan Nawaz says that the matter will be taken forward in the light of the report of the technical committee, the committee is working to investigate the fire in the shopping mall.
He said that the committee will investigate whether emergency drills were ever conducted, whether the alarm system and fire extinguishing system in the mall worked or not.
DC Irfan Nawaz says that in case of emergency, exiting and rescue procedures from the mall will also be reviewed, there is no restriction on taking goods of shopkeepers from the mall.
They also say that the allegation of political revenge on the administration is false, the three towers will be opened only after receiving the report of the inquiry committee.
